INTERNATIONAL Day of Peace
Peace March UUFG
Gainesville celebrated the International Day of Peace with a Peace March Down 34th Street, A peace service at the Unitarian Fellowship followed by a Flag Ceremony at Noon and a Peace Potluck. This year the Interfaith Climate Group of Gainesville joined the Peace march and during the potluck we watched the Climate march in NYC on live stream during our potluck.
Sponsors included Vets for Peace, the Baha’i Fellowship of Gainesville, The United Nations Association and the Unitarian Universalist of Gainesville Social Justice Council.

Gainesville Veterans for Peace Chapter 14 announces its inaugural Peace Scholarships for the spring of 2014. We are awarding two scholarships of $500 for high school seniors with demonstrated commitment and leadership in activities involving: peace & social justice, conflict resolution and/or nonviolent social change.
